Dullstroom Fly Fishers Association have TWO team places available for this years’ event, the DFFA 2017 Bonanza, starting on Thursday 28th September and ending on the Sunday. This is arguably one of the two premier events of the year with fishing on some of the prime waters around Dullstroom.
The event will comprise five sessions commencing Friday 29th September and culminating in the final prizegiving which follows the last fishing session on Sunday morning. Registration will be from 16.30 on Thursday 28th September and will be followed at 18.00, by the draw for waters and run-through of the programme, rules etc. The cost of entry per team of four is R7,800 and this includes early morning tea/coffee, evening meals on Friday and Saturday and snacks during the final prizegiving. The event will be based at The Poacher in Dullstroom.
We currently have 23 teams registered and have just two team places available as we cannot exceed 25 teams in total.
The main sponsor is Xplorer with Zero Appliances, Dunkeld and Secure Tech secondary sponsors. There are a multitude of prizes valued over R260 000.
Last year our donations to local charities cumulatively surpassed R250,000 and we hope to add a further significant amount following this year’s event.
