There was plenty of rain with some cold spells over the festive season when the water temperature in the estuaries dropped sharply and which put the fish off. However, the estuaries have cleared nicely and have warmed up again. Although there has not been much fly fishing been done recently there are always small garrick around and expect grunter and kob and sometimes even skipjack (ladyfish).
